FleaWinder™ is now a Living Circus: a small, persistent world built around eight founding performers - Pip the Strongflea, Zing on the trapeze, Nova on the tightrope, Dot on the unicycle, Rex in the cannon, Fizz juggling, Blaze breathing fire, and Bugg launching a motorcycle jump. The ring, workshops, paths, habitats, and quiet corners give the troupe somewhere to live between performances. The same circus appears across the project’s current platforms: as a lightweight desktop companion above the Windows taskbar or macOS Dock, in FleaWinder Pocket on iPhone and iPad, and on Apple TV.
The circus responds to the way you use each device. Desktop keyboard, mouse, and click activity is processed locally to wind the acts; Pocket responds to touch, tilt, shake, and its custom keyboard extension; Apple TV uses remote navigation and the Play/Pause button as its wind trigger. These inputs are used to animate the show, not recorded as a history of your activity. The original taskbar strip remains part of FleaWinder’s history, but the current project is broader: a small, persistent world with places, habitats, stories, and room for new fleas.
The Living Circus is designed to feel inhabited, not completed. You can drop in for a quick performance, follow a route through the grounds, zoom in on one flea, or notice what has changed since your last visit. The eight founding acts are the beginning of the troupe rather than a fixed catalogue; the world has room for new fleas, new places, and small stories that accumulate over time. That is the digital continuation of the flea-circus tradition: the intimacy and scale of a tiny spectacle, rebuilt with hand-built animation, local input, and a growing cast. No fleas were harmed in the making of this circus.
